Areas of activities and offerings

Rajatiedon Yhteistyö ry is an ideologically, religiously and politically independent association of fringe knowledge organizations, communities and individuals (see key objectives). Our mission is to map the frontier area of human knowledge, the ideas and currents that operate within it, and to promote cooperation and share relevant information between communities and people in the field. Every year since 1983 (except in 2020-2021), Rajatiedon Yhteistyö ry has been organizing Spirit and Knowledge expo, where is on display cross-section from the mind-body-spirit activities in Finland. Expo of Spirit and Knowledge is oldest and the most comprehensive Finnish fair in this field. Most recent events there has been 3000-3500 guests and over 200 exhibitors. The venue each October is Helsingin Suomalainen Yhteiskoulu (address: Isonnevantie 8, Helsinki).

Booths are available be from our web store. Members of the society get 15% discounts from the prices of corridor booths, classroom booths and scheduled presentation spots. Expo tickets include member discounts as well, including possible avec.

In addition of Spirit and Knowledge expo in Helsinki, the society has been organizing earlier expos in Imatra and Tampere with the same name, as well as smaller events in cooperation with other organizations.

Rajatiedon  Yhteistyö’s (Mind-Body-Spirit Cooperative Association’s) spiritual helpline has been set up to help people who have experienced helplessness, fear, anxiety or, in the worst case, a crisis because of issues in the area of fringe knowledge. This can happen if events and phenomena are too difficult to interpret for the experiencer, or if he or she does not have any model of explanation for what he or she has experienced from his or her previous experience.

The helpline is open on Thursdays and Sundays from 18:00 to 22:00 on 040 913 1038. The phone is answered by trained emergency personnel, calls cost the normal call charge. Helpline concelor trainings will be organized every few years to train new volunteers.

Since 1993, Rajatiedon Yhteistyö ry has distributed scholarships for fringe knowledge research and development activities. A few scholarship applications have been submitted each year. Scholarships have been available to both individuals and communities. In total, scholarships worth around € 50,000 have been awarded to more than 70 different applicants.

Library for Fringe Knowledge has served the public interested in esotericism, paranormal and spirituality since 1995, when it operated as part of the Rajatieto Center in the center of Helsinki, maintained by the association. There are currently more than 3,000 publications in the library’s collections, which can be borrowed by non-members for a small customer / deposit fee. The library is open Wed-Fri 12-18 & Sat 12-14, as well as in connection with public events organized by the association.

Small-scale events, such as lectures, courses and seminars, are organized at StudioRajatieto’s space in Helsinki’s Malminkartano (Luutnantinpolku 7), maintained by Rajatiedon Yhteistyö ry. Some of Paranormal TV’s program production are filmed at Studio Rajatieto. Since April 2018, literary circles have been organized in Studio Rajatieto on Thursdays at 6 pm, as part of the activities of the Library for Fringe Knowledge, which serves on the premises. In connection with StudioRajatieto, there is also an expo office of the association, which serves the customers of the Spirit and Knowledge expo, tenants of the association, members of the association and others interested in fringe knowledge during the opening hours of the library, and sells some literature.

Premises can be rented for private events, public gatherings, treatments and interpretations. Members can rent the facilities for half price, for free events members can use the facilities for free. The rooms have board games, changing table, screen, conference table, 2 small tables, 30 chairs, outdoor advertising stand, projector, sound equipment, microphones, massage table, yoga mats and dishes, as well as a kitchen and toilet.

Publishing activities

The association publishes a wide-ranging publication of topics related to mind-body-spirit, the ÄÄRETÖN magazine (means infinite), which is published 4 times a year. You can read the magazine for free in the Issuu service, where you can download single magazines to your terminal for reading and printing. You can read printed magazines in the reading room of our special library. Through our mailing list, you always have the latest ÄÄRETÖN digital magazine to read right away.

You can order a printed magazine through our online store. Individual single magazines can be purchased from our office, from the Unio Mystica bookstore (Yrjönkatu 8, 00120 Helsinki) or from the Expo of Spirit and Knowledge at the Association’s booth. Members receive a 40% discount on the normal price of the magazine.

In addition, the association publishes an annual expo sheets for the Spirit and Knowledge Expo and occasionally publishes literature in the field. The association has also published an 84-page booklet, “Näkökulmia rajatiedon asioihin” compiled by a working group of Rajatiedon Yhteistyö’s helpline.

In recent years, the association has invested heavily in the development of websites and presence on social media. The association’s website will develop a modern communication platform and a virtual community service for the association’s members and anyone interested in fringe knowledge, which will work naturally together with social media services. In the past, the association maintained an extensive search service and link service from fringe knowledge, established in 2002 – the internet portal of which still remains available. Prior to the current domain address, the association operated at rajatiedonyhteistyo.fi and saunalahti.fi/~rajatied (or sci.fi/~rajatied).
